Terms and Conditions

Booking Terms & Site Conditions

Wild Farm Escapes is our home and a working farm. We love sharing this special place with guests, and these terms help ensure everyone enjoys a safe, relaxed and memorable stay.

By making a booking, the lead guest confirms they have read and agree to these Terms & Conditions on behalf of all members of their party.

Bookings

Bookings are made through our online reservation system. Once your booking is completed, you will receive an automated confirmation email. Please check this carefully and contact us as soon as possible if any details are incorrect.

The lead booker must be over 18 years of age and accepts responsibility for all guests within their party.

Wild Farm Escapes reserves the right to refuse or cancel bookings at our discretion. Where a booking is cancelled by us, payments made will be refunded in full unless cancellation results from a breach of these terms.

Bookings may also be subject to the terms and conditions of the third-party booking platform used.

Arrival & Departure

Check-in is from 2pm on the day of arrival.

Check-out is by 12pm on the day of departure.

These times allow us to prepare the site for incoming guests. Late departures may incur a charge if they affect preparation for the next arrival.

Greener Camping Club Membership

Wild Farm Escapes operates in partnership with The Greener Camping Club.

All bookings require one valid membership per booking, currently £12. This allows guests to stay at Wild Farm Escapes and other Greener Camping Club sites (subject to availability).

Occupancy & Extras

Pitches and accommodation must not exceed the stated maximum occupancy.

Additional extras may be available at the time of booking, including:

  • Extra tent on the same pitch
  • Extra vehicle
  • Additional person(s) beyond standard pitch capacity
  • Food packs such as BBQ or breakfast packs
  • Dog stays (see below)

Prices for all extras are displayed during the booking process.

Additional visitors are not permitted on site without prior agreement.

Dogs

Up to two well-behaved dogs per pitch are welcome for an additional charge.

Due to livestock and wildlife, dogs must be kept under control at all times and on a lead where required.

Owners must ensure dogs do not disturb wildlife, livestock or other guests and must clean up after them appropriately.

Dogs must not be left unattended and guests are responsible for any damage caused.

Wild Farm Escapes cannot accept responsibility for accidents, illness or loss involving pets during their stay.

Payments

Payment terms, deposits and balances are managed through the booking platform and will be shown clearly during booking.

Full payment must be made in accordance with the stated payment schedule.

Cancellation Policy

If you need to cancel your stay, the following refunds apply:

  • More than 28 days before arrival: 75% refund of total camping charge
  • Between 28 and 7 days before arrival: 50% refund
  • Less than 7 days before arrival: 25% refund

If we are able to resell your pitch, we may offer a credit note or voucher for a future stay at our discretion.

We strongly recommend that guests take out holiday cancellation insurance.

Damages, Breakages & Cleaning

Guests are responsible for taking reasonable care of accommodation, facilities and equipment.

Please inform us promptly if anything is damaged or broken.

Normal wear and tear is expected, however we reserve the right to charge for repairs or replacement where damage is caused by misuse or negligence.

Guests are asked to leave their pitch or accommodation clean and tidy. Additional cleaning charges may apply where this is not the case.

Site Etiquette & Quiet Enjoyment

Wild Farm Escapes is designed to be a peaceful place to reconnect with nature.

Guests are asked to:

  • Keep noise to reasonable levels, particularly in the evening
  • Avoid amplified music or disruptive behaviour
  • Respect fellow guests and the natural environment
  • Dispose of waste responsibly

We reserve the right to ask guests to leave without refund in cases of serious misconduct.

Fires & Outdoor Cooking

Fire pits and BBQs must only be used in designated areas and never left unattended.

Wild Farm Escapes reserves the right to restrict use of fires during dry periods.

Fireworks and sky lanterns are not permitted due to fire risk and danger to livestock.

River Access & Wild Swimming

Access to the River Thame is provided for guests to enjoy responsibly.

The river is a natural, unmanaged waterway. Guests entering the water or participating in wild swimming do so entirely at their own risk.

Hazards may include changing depths, currents, slippery banks, submerged objects and cold water.

No lifeguard or supervision is provided.

Children must be closely supervised at all times near water.

Wild Farm Escapes accepts no liability for injury, illness or loss arising from river use except where required by law.

Countryside & Farm Environment

Wild Farm Escapes is situated within a working farm and conservation landscape.

Guests should expect uneven ground, wildlife, livestock, mud, insects, changing weather and typical rural activity.

These natural characteristics are part of the experience and are not grounds for complaint.

Guests should follow the Countryside Code, including respecting livestock, closing gates and leaving no trace.

Personal Property

Guests remain responsible for their personal belongings at all times.

Wild Farm Escapes cannot accept responsibility for loss, theft or damage to items brought onto the site.

Smoking

Smoking is not permitted inside accommodation or communal enclosed spaces.

Guests must dispose of cigarette ends responsibly.

We reserve the right to access accommodation or areas of the site where necessary for safety, maintenance or emergency purposes.
